Bob Chinn’s Crab House understands that each family has different medical needs and financial capabilities.  Therefore, we offer three medical plan choices for our employees to choose from; two PPO (POS) medical plans, and an HMO medical plan. 

By offering three different medical plans you have the ability to choose what is best for you and your family. Hourly employees must work an average of thirty (30) hours per week during the waiting period to qualify for group health insurance. 

Employees that participate in this benefit, in the event you are no longer eligible to participate in the insurance benefit package, your coverage will end at the conclusion of the benefit plan year (March 31st). If this occurs, you will have the option of electing COBRA coverage provided you pay the applicable premiums.  Note that for insurance purposes you will be credited (unpaid) with the number of hours you normally work on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day when the restaurant is closed or an unforeseeable business interruption event.

All eligible employees will receive a benefit summary booklet and plan descriptions which more fully describes the details of our insurance benefits including information concerning premiums, deductibles, co-payments, etc., when you become eligible.  If you have any questions, consult our Human Resources Department.
